Apco
applied the latest technology and cumulative know-how to
create the VISTA. A new DHV
1-2 Sports Class Intermediate. A delightful all-around wing
with a free-style feel intended for a wide range of pilots
and flying styles. Built-in Neodymium magnets and swivels on
the brake handles exemplify the attention to detail. New
technology has been incorporated to continuously reduce the
glider’s weight without sacrificing the durability of the
cloth or construction. VISTA
today is lighter than most rival gliders in its class and
exhibits spotless launch and safety.
VISTA is equipped with Flexon® battens assuring
perfect launch without any sign of deterioration during the
life span of the glider. The battens also contribute to a
extended speed range and improved performance.
Paramotor risers with trimmers - In addition to the paragliding version, already well proven on the market, Vista is available in paramotor version and is surprisingly good thanks to excellent launch, wide speed range, and good behaviour under power. Pull the trimmers fully in and the risers lengths are the same as the free flying version, let them out when using with a paramotor for more speed. The Apco Vista with PPG risers is a well proven and ideal intermediate paramotor wing that also flies just as well unpowered. We think that pilots searching for an intermediate wing that is equally capable of powered and unpowered flight need look no further. The Apco Vista with PPG risers is ideal for the performance pilot who needs DHV 1-2 security. With a higher aspect ratio and more cells than the Thrust HP, the Vista features sportier, more dynamic handling, along with a high speed range. The Apco Vista with PPG risers is a performance intermediate wing with safety and stability, and desires for long flights. The Vista's Power launch characteristics are gentle for a wing with such performance and energetic character, and pilots will find that the inflation is simple to control in all conditions. In light wind, the Vista comes up easily overhead, with no tendencies to hang back or slip to one side. Just pull it up and go! In flight, the handling is direct and well coordinated, ideal for manoeuvring close to the ground or for thermalling with the engine off. CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALThe glider is made from tear resistant Ripstop Nylon cloth, which is P.U. coated to zero porosity and then siliconized to give the fabric high resistance to the elements. Different cloth is used for the top, bottom and ribs due to their different functions. The lines are made of superaramid covered with a polyester sheath for protection against UV, wear and abrasion. The bottom section of the brake lines is made of polyester because of its better mechanical properties. The carabiners that attach the lines to the risers are made of stainless steel.
